Shirt.Woot

Shirt.Woot is a part of the Woot.com deal website family. Woot started out in 2004 with the slogan "One Day, One Deal". Now they offer many deals every day under many subcategories like kids.woot, wine.woot, and home.woot. The newest addition to the family is sport.woot. But we’re here to talk about shirts.

In the deal-a-day spirit, Shirt.Woot features one new shirt every day. Woot shirts are not just cheap ($10-$15 + $5 shipping), they’re also nifty and ethically produced. From their FAQ:
"Woot Tees are 100% cotton blank shirts. The designs are printed at Woot's own printing facility in our Carrollton, Texas headquarters. Although the people who make them do sweat occasionally, Woot Tees are produced in sweatshop-free conditions."
Featured designs are usually nerdy, or adorable.  Here’s a design which is both:

When a shirt is introduced, it is available for purchase all week. These n00b shirts are called “Bystanders”. There is also a separate list of the top 27 shirts ever. Each Sunday, the bystander shirts are added to the ranks of the top 27 on a list called “The Reckoning”. When that happens, the seven worst-selling shirts from the previous week are pushed out. They are reckoned. Here’s the current #1 shirt in the reckoning:

The shirt which has been on the current reckoning list for the longest is “Nevermore”.  It’s at #13 today, ended at #20 last week (a close call), and has survived being reckoned for 220 weeks!

Some shirt designs are sourced from professional designers. (…or curated submissions.) But every week, three of the featured shirts are picked from user submissions in a section of the site called “The Derby”. Here’s a screenshot:

Every Thursday at noon, Shirt.Woot announces a new topic. Every Friday at noon, they begin accepting submissions.  The following Friday, the first place winner is put up for sale. A vibrant community has come alive around these proceedings. Anyone who has ever purchased anything from any of the Woot deal sites can use their log-in to vote for the derby shirts. Users are also given the chance to report shirts which are offensive, don’t fit the week’s topic, or don’t follow the rules of submission.

Shirt.Woot has also recently introduced a new part of the site called WootPlus! I’m afraid there’s no permanent link at this time, but if you go to the mainpage, and scroll down, you should find a banner advertising resurrected designs which all fit a theme. Here’s this week’s banner:

I believe last week was all steam punk... Or maybe it was pandas? Anyway, here’s one last design just because:
